The Police Unity Memorial Association have long held the belief that a suitable
Lament should be created to honour the service and sacrifice of all fallen
police officers within the United Kingdom and abroad. An approach was subsequently made to the recently formed Metropolitan Police Service Emerald Society (Pipes & Drums) Band. We are deeply indebted to Pipe Major Dominic Murphy, who has penned this fitting tribute to our fallen colleagues.
